I am a Full Professor of Human Nutrition at the University of Parma, in Italy, where I hold the position of Vice-Rector for Research and Technology Transfer. I also coordinate and administrate the ONFOODS Foundation, the research and innovation network on food and nutrition sustainability, safety, and security, representing our national Extended Partnership focused on food research, worth 115M€. The Foundation includes 26 partners among universities, research centers, and private companies working in the area of food, and it became operative in November 2022. I am a Visiting Professor at the School of Biomedical Sciences, Ulster University. I have been listed among the Clarivate/Web of Science Highly Cited Researchers since 2014, and I am a proud Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic for scientific achievements.
