I am a fourth-year PhD candidate at the University of Alberta working on the Alberta Nutrition and IMMunity (nutrIMM) study. My project is focused on understanding immune function determinants, including glycemia, body composition, and diet. I am also particularly interested in exploring biological sex differences in the immune system.

I have been a dietitian in my home country (Brazil) since 2016 and I have been involved with research and health services since the beginning of my undergraduate studies.

I joined NNEdPro in June 2022 as a Joint Strategic Lead for Regional Network Engagement.
