Nutrition research and innovation consortium
MRC EWL Nutrition and Vascular Studies 2010-2018
For several years leading up to 2018 the NNEdPro Chair’s Nutrition and Vascular Studies Platform in combination with the NNEdPro Scientific Director’s Dietary Bioactives and Health Platform, formed the basis for an innovative consortium bringing together a unique combination of collaborators. This work received early recognition through a British Medical Association Research Foundation Award and has attracted significant support from a number of agencies including Research Councils.
Over 2018, the NNEdPro Group has formed a refreshed Nutrition Research and Innovation Consortium (NRIC) spanning Ulster, Parma, London and Cambridge. Going forward the combined strengths from these centres of research excellence will seek to address further unanswered questions around Nutrition and Non-Communicable Disease, connecting the cutting edge of science to evidence-informed professional education.
From 2019, the NNEdPro Global Centre has operationalised a refreshed Nutrition Research and Innovation Consortium (NRIC) spanning Ulster, Parma, London and Cambridge. Going forward the combined strengths from these centres of research excellence will seek to address further unanswered questions around Nutrition and Disease Prevention/Intervention, connecting the cutting edge of science to evidence-informed professional education.
