Daniele Del Rio is a Professor of Human Nutrition at the University of Parma where he presides the School of Advanced Studies on Food and Nutrition. Daniele has been invited to present lectures on his research on polyphenol bioavailability and bioactivity at several international conferences and has co-authored more than 200 papers on internationally peer reviewed journals (https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=IHv_1mIAAAAJ&hl=en). He is listed among the most influential scientists for his citation record (https://recognition.webofsciencegroup.com/awards/highly-cited/2019/).
Dan is the Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Food Sciences and Nutrition (http://www.tandfonline.com/loi/iijf20) and is a member of the editorial board of Molecular Nutrition and Food Research (Wiley), Nutrition Metabolism & Cardiovascular Diseases (Elsevier) as well as on the management board of BMJ Nutrition, Prevention and Health. Dan has also recently been awarded the title of Visiting Professor at the School of Biomedical Science of Ulster University and has been honoured by the Italian President as Commendatore (the equivalent of Knight Commander)for his exemplary work and contribution to scientific research.
