Cardiovascular disease (CVD), including stroke and coronary heart disease, are a leading cause of death and disability worldwide. In 2011, the NNEdPro Chair’s Nutrition and Vascular Studies Platform at the Medical Research Council (MRC) Elsie Widdowson Laboratory (EWL) was established to begin addressing key knowledge gaps around the effect of lesser understood components of diet on cardiovascular risk.

The Summit will bring together experts from across the globe to strengthen and promote international initiatives and exchange knowledge on medical nutrition education and research. In 2018, we celebrate our 10th anniversary year and to mark this the theme of this year’s conference is Nutrition as a Hard Science.
