Research Associate

I attended Newcastle University, UK for four years, where I completed my undergraduate studies in Biomedical Sciences (BSc Hons) between 2016 and 2019. At the end of 2020, I graduated with a Masters in Public Health (MPH) and produced a thesis entitled: 'Exploring the patterns and trends in Childhood Brain Tumours (CBTs); using Cancer Incidence in Five Continents (CI5)'. My academics has equipped me with in-depth knowledge of public health principles and extensive quantitative research and data-analysis skills.

I completed a summer internship with NNEdPro in 2019, where I assisted with the running and follow-up evaluations of our summer events. In 2020, I joined the COVID-19 Taskforce, where I carried out monthly information scans for COVID-19 related public health policy across our regional networks. In April 2021, I started my role as Research Associate. I support various COVID-19 and CVD nutrition research projects, largely through data analysis work, and provide digital support for website updates, alongside continuing my work with the COVID-19 Taskforce.

Outside of NNEdPro, I am currently working for the NHS South West London CCG as a Performance Support Officer. As a recent postgraduate, I have a particular interest in scientific research & public health improvement, where I am keen to enhance my knowledge & technical abilities and pursue a future career in Public Health.
