Dr Christine Delon is a Data Scientist at NATCAN at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and an independent contractor working with other clients in the health research sector. Her interests include metabolic syndrome, diabetes remission, and nutrition and their influence on CVD and cancer outcomes.
Christine has published papers on patient interventions in GP practice in New Zealand; on cancer incidence by ethnicity; on relating the diagnostic interval with diabetes remission; on food addiction; on diabetes and renal health, blood pressure and lipids; and on cancer mortality and aspirin. She is currently working on a meta-analysis of weight loss.
Christine holds a PhD in Biochemistry at Cambridge University and worked as a Postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for molecular physiology. She has developed experience in the area of data analytics and applies this to assess effective interventions that are applicable in practice, empowering clinical teams, patients and the wider public to enhance their health management and outcomes.
An accomplished programmer in R, Christine also enjoys, crafts, literary clubs and swimming.
