“Closing the Gap: Data-based Decisions in Food, Nutrition and Health Systems” @ The 5th

The 5th International NNEdPro Summit on Medical & Public Health Nutrition Education & Research is a leading annual international scientific meeting in nutrition research and scientific dialogue attracting delegates who are key opinion leaders in the field from all over the globe.


Key international experts in their respected field will present their knowledge around the pressing theme of: Closing the Gap: Data-based Decisions in Food, Nutrition and Health Systems.


Join the nutrition education and research community for a full day event taking place from 09:00am – 17:00pm followed by a mini-symposium and network reception at Homerton College, University of Cambridge.


What to expect from the Summit

11 July 2019, 9:00-17:00, Homerton College, Cambridge

The first half of the day will address a Global systems perspective on data driven decisions.Expect talks on NNEdPro and WHO’s nutrition capacity building architecture in health systems, to using data from the perspective of the Sight and Life programme, to insights from TIGR2ESS and the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition.


The second half of the day will focus on using a data driven approach in medical and healthcare education. This will range from talks on medical nutrition education today, taking an interdisciplinary approach to medical and healthcare education, nutrition education and skills in the health service, clinicial self-care, to teaching students and health professionals the foundations and practice of nutrigenetics and nutrigenomics and data modelling.

In addition to exciting talks and panel discussions there will be a Scientific Poster Session and Global Essay Competition

Abstracts for scientific poster of original research are accepted by email to info@nnedpro.prg.uk. Max 250 words and email with the subject: Summit 2019 Poster Abstract. The deadline is 30th June.


For the Global Essay Competition please email your solution focused submission of up to 1,500 words on the topic “Utilising the Sustainable Development Goals to curb malnutrition in all its forms by 2030” to info@nnedpro.org.uk with the subject line: 2019 Summit Essay Competition. Deadline by 30th June.


The winners from the Scientific Poster Session and Global Essay Competition will be presented in Cambridge on 11th July during the International Summit.

 

The Summit is held in close partnership with the official NNEdPro journal: BMJ Nutrition, Prevention and Health.
