Tutor Biographies: Rachel Broughton BSc RDRachel qualified as a dietitian in 1996, and spent the first part of her career working as a clinical dietitian in the acute setting. Particular areas of interest included nutrition support and therapeutic dietary management of individuals with renal disease, as well as education methodology and student training. This resulted in her undertaking a further practical qualification in Further and Adult Education Teaching. In 2002 Rachel moved to work in the nutrition industry. Since this time she has held a variety of roles supporting dietetic practice, education, product development, marketing, project management and professional support which have enabled her to maintain her professional registration with the Health Professions Council. Currently Rachel is a Manager at Abbott Nutrition. Rachel has previously been a member of the British Dietetic Association Renal Nutrition Group (RNG) committee, co-authoring the RNG’s Practical Guide to Renal Dietetics. She has been an Industry representative on the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN) Education & Training Committee.
